DOMINIC TANO: PROCUREMENT EXPERT
An MCIPS and MBA holder with 20+ years’ experience in Public and Private Sector Procurement. Has extensive knowledge in the application of donor-funded procurement procedures, including Danida, DFID, EU, World Bank and IFAD. Endowed with analytical thinking, has handled a diversity of complex procurement projects that have enhanced his ability to support Value for Money (VfM) Procurement Assessments in Ghana since 2001.
Dominic has also delivered extensive work in assessing Public Sector Procurement and recommending action plans for implementation of Procurement Reforms; including participation in the team that discussed and provided technical advice for the Ghana Public Procurement Bill which became law in December 2003.
Along with his professional qualification in Business Strategy and Procurement Management, his background in lecturing has contributed greatly to his capacity building activities including the design and delivery of training programmes to a number of organisations. He was a Procurement Expert on the Crown Agents Ghana team that developed the curricula, modules and training materials for short, medium and long-term procurement training in Ghana.
His working experience in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom has given him the edge with regards to working with people of different backgrounds and culture.
